What is Connau?
Connau is a digital platform for the beginning of dog ownership, built to make the puppy handover between breeders and new owners more structured, calm and reliable.
Connau is developed by Animal Lifecycle Technologies Oy, a Finnish company behind the Connau product and IP. Our team combines dog breeding expertise, community building, product design, AI and venture building to solve a very concrete problem: important puppy knowledge is still too often scattered across papers, messages and memory.

Päivi leads Connau’s vision, commercial direction, and go-to-market strategy. She has extensive experience in strategic marketing, business development, and community building.
She brings deep understanding of the pet industry and hands-on experience from everyday dog ownership. Päivi ensures that Connau is built for owners: clear, intuitive, and supportive in everyday life at the right moments.
Päivi and Sami also form a breeder–owner pair in real life. They use Connau themselves and continuously develop it based on their own experiences.

Pet Care & Community Specialist
Sami brings the professional breeder’s perspective into the core of Connau. His experience in breeding, puppy care, and real-life handovers ensures that the platform supports breeders in practical, meaningful ways.
He is responsible for ensuring Connau is built for breeders: making it easy to record, manage, and transfer information without adding extra workload.
Sami and Päivi work together as a breeder–owner pair and as active testers and developers of Connau. They use the platform daily to ensure it works in real life.
Mikko Tuominen
Mikko leads Connau’s product development and technical execution. His work focuses on building the platform architecture, developing the MVP, and integrating AI in a way that supports clarity and practical value.
He ensures Connau evolves from concept into a reliable system that both breeders and owners can trust.

Otso Lindfors
Otso is responsible for Connau’s strategic direction, product concept, and design. His work focuses on building Connau into a scalable digital system that supports the beginning of a dog’s life and evolves into a broader ecosystem.
He also leads brand development and ensures clarity of the overall concept for users and stakeholders.
